THE 2026-2027
SEASON
IS HERE!
“Tell me a story. Please…tell me a story.”
That’s a request we’ve all made since we learned to talk — and listen. And we still love a story — TV, movies, books, theatre – all stories to entertain, enrich, inspire, amuse.
At The Storefront Theatre, we tell stories through the faces and voices of actors but your imagination supplies the rest – set, props, costumes, everything.
We are reader’s theatre.
It gives us pleasure to announce that we are adding another performance for each show this season. Based on the survey we sent out in June, adding a Saturday afternoon performance was a popular choice. Because our Sunday afternoon performances often sell out, it provides a second daytime opportunity to see our shows. Thanks for your continuing support of The Storefront Theatre! We look forward to seeing you for our 19th season.
The Outsider by Paul Slade Smith
Ned Newley doesn’t even want to be governor.
He’s terrified of public speaking; his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his ever-supportive Chief of Staff,
Ned seems destined to fail. But political consultant
Arthur Vance sees things differently: Ned might be the worst candidate to ever run for office. Unless the public
is looking for the worst candidate to ever run for office....
A timely and hilarious comedy that skewers politics and celebrates democracy.
THE OUTSIDER (SMITH) is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals
on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.

Broomstick by John Biguenet
“An arresting blend of evocative humor and eerie gravitas permeates Broomstick, New Orleans playwright John Biguenet's richly poetic tale of an Appalachian crone who may or may not be a witch. . . the merger of pathos, insight and horror is hair-raising. . . . Biguenet's text has an undulating rhythm that ebbs and flows like a rain-swelled river—but there's always another hairpin turn to Biguenet's narrative. Tightly woven, richly detailed and fully enjoyable.” –Los Angeles Times (An LA Times Critics’ Pick)

La Leçon de Francais takes the Aurelia ladies to Paris where they cook macarons, drink Chateauneuf-de-Pape, tour the Louvre, and learn a little bit about French as well as a lot about friendship.
