Submission Guidelines
The Storefront Theatre is accepting submissions for our 13th annual 10-minute play festival to be presented on March 7 and 8, 2026. A blind panel of judges with broad theatre experience will select 8-10 plays to be presented as concert readings and will choose a first place winner who will receive a cash award of $100.00 and a second place winner who will receive a cash award of $75.00.
Recently read plays are acceptable; published or produced plays are not. No musicals, no plays requiring children or teens in the cast. No more than 5 characters. Plays should be intended for a general audience. Please use a standard format and font size no smaller than 12 and no color other than black. One submission per playwright in PDF.
Please submit by email to submissions@thestorefronttheatre.org as follows:
The subject line of the email should contain ONLY the title of the play – no other words, letters, numbers, or symbols. The body of the email must include the title of the play and the playwright’s contact information: playwright’s name, mailing address, phone number(s), and email. Do not send contact information as an attachment to the email.
Attach the play to the email. The title of the play must exactly match the title in the subject line. The attached file should include cast and script. Do not include your name and/or contact information on the attached play. These are blind submissions. If your name appears on the title page or any other page of the script, it will be disqualified.
Submissions that fail to meet these guidelines will not be accepted.
Submissions will be accepted from July 7 until midnight on July 27.
Award-winning playwrights and all playwrights to be included in the festival reading will be notified by January 31, 2026.
